Slab City is not just an attraction, first and foremost, it is home to it's many residents.
They are the true gem of Slab City. Please respect them and their property.

  • Ask before taking pictures or videos of the Slabbers, it's polite. However, feel free to to capture people while they're performing and share!
  • Do not wander into other people's camps without permission
  • Most stops along the tour accept small donations. These really help to keep our community thriving.

All of the below places are included on our tour. (Donations accepted)

George has established close relationships with many locals, which means that on top of the usual Slab City tourist sights, you will get an in-depth view of our neighborhood, including visiting the insides of otherwise "off-limits to the public" places, West Satan, or even Nummy's Palm Hut's personal balcony. Meet locals, have cold beverages with them, find the uncharted distractions. We're here to show you or point you in the right direction.

THE RANGE

Open every Saturday night for Open Mic, and other nights for concerts and other events, The Range is the biggest music venue in the Slabs. Built by Builder Bill, there is always fun to be had here under the stars. Ponderosa campers are always invited to come a long as we sing and dance the nights away!
